[1] In the beginning there was Pete and Alice.
[2] Michael was without form or conscience.
[3] Pete moved upon Alice.
[4] And in seven seconds Pete rested.
[5] Alice said “that’s good.”
[6] Thus in the space of six seconds Pete and Alice were fruitful and multiplied.
[7] Michael was then born within the space of nine months.
[8] Pete absconded.
[9] The birth certificate does not mention Pete.
[10] Michael is thus immaculate.
